ARTIST STATEMENT
“Our Broken System” (68” h. X 66” w.) is a subversive knitting piece.  I taught five semesters in a Philadelphia County jail through the community college, so the topic is personal to me.  There are 35 panels that have been done using intarsia knitting, sewn to a black flannel backing.
