The Greater Denton Arts Council relies on volunteers to help present and support the arts in our community. Volunteers can assist with mailings, special events/fundraisers, participate in the docent program, become an intern, and more.

GALLERY GREETERS

Volunteers are needed to help staff the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center Welcome Desk throughout the year. Volunteers will assist in greeting visitors, processing admission for special exhibitions, and providing information about the Arts Council, membership, and educational programs. Volunteers will also assist with mailings and administrative projects as needed when not helping visitors.

SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERS

INTERNSHIPS AT THE GREATER DENTON ARTS COUNCIL

Interested in receiving training and real-life experience in the arts and non-profit management? The Greater Denton Arts Council is currently seeking interns to assist in the following areas: education and exhibitions, development, marketing and social media, and visitor studies and evaluation. DOCENT PROGRAM

Do you love the arts? Become a Greater Denton Arts Council docent! The Greater Denton Arts Council is seeking friendly volunteers to facilitate conversations and art activities in the galleries of the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center. Volunteers will participate in hands-on gallery training to learn about the exhibitions on view, explore interactive teaching techniques, and discover simple and fun activities for visitors of all ages. No prior teaching experience is required.
