ARTIST STATEMENT
The Artist focuses on female facial profiles to highlight the nonexistent boundary between beauty and overt sexualization. Rejecting the insinuations often thrust upon the female form, the Artist presents rigid and geometric portraits of women, without a stroke of curvature. By abstracting identifiable features, the Artist re-examines perceptions on “appropriateness.”
