Something to Carry my Guilt
Casey Whittier - Kansas City, Missouri
Something to Carry my Guilt in, 2018
terra cotta, earthenware, linen, polyfill
18 x 15 x 6
Artist Statement
Through each sculpture, I advocate for a direct and tactile relationship with the world. My work relies on labor and craft. I tediously mix historical materials and processes into contemporary forms. This inquiry is philosophical and existential - questions of value, expectation, and meaning are embedded in every sculpture.
Pricing does not include taxes or shipping information. Shipment prices and methods will be organized with the artist, buyer, and GDAC. Artwork will be sent after the exhibition closes in May.
