Artist Statement

I look at nature - plant forms, geometry, colors, cell structures, bones, antlers, wings - to see underlying connections these things have in common. My felted work is experimental. Using math to calculate shrinkage, I reverse-engineer geometric or biomorphic three dimensional sculptures. I like stitching because of the human connection.
