This is an area where I and my family did some fossil hunting. I found very little that day but I was surrounded by rocks and the colors of dusk.

BLUE ROCKS

While waiting in a long line of cars to pick up my grandchildren from their school, I stopped and noticed this scene. It was so peaceful with its varieties of shadows and highlights that I knew that I had to paint it.

GRAY ROCKS MARATHON TX.
acrylic, obsidian and opals
30 x 40
$500
“Grey is the new way” to express yourself artistically. The many values between black & white enable us to remember basic classic images. It’s like watching a classic old movie film.

GREAT CLOUD
acrylic and amethyst
30 x 48
$450
I love Texas’s beautiful clouds...this one caught my attention along with the terrific rock formation I saw while in Fredericksburg, Tx.

ROCK WATERFALL
acrylic and clear crystals
48 x 60
$1,000
This was my second painting that I created while living in my son’s house waiting for my Robson Ranch home to be built. As you can see I once again painted my favorite Birch trees. However, they are growing supernaturally among many rocks. This strange setting may express my tearful emotions of change and not knowing anyone here except my family. I put a little sparkle into the sprays of water using Austrian crystals to brighten up this painting.

SANTA ELENA CANYON
acrylic and mixed gems
24 x 48
$600
This former New York City artist needed to see much more of Texas. We drove for hours passing many miles of the Badlands. Everyone said this was a necessary “must see” canyon. They were right!

TRANQUIL POND
acrylic and blue crystals
24 x 48
$400
This is a scene from Trophy Lake Park when I was hiking with my grandchildren looking for driftwood. I decided that I wanted to concentrate on the glow on the rocks. One of my first gem embellished paintings.

Hitch My Wagon Wheel to the Stars...
