ARTIST STATEMENT
I use fibers to make art about deep connections between people. Love is fabric-soft, warm, tightly woven. My work feels like it’s ripped from a larger tapestry or from a well-loved quilt. The foreign elements—zippers, beads, nails— emphasize the particular softness of both the fabric and the people I depict.
