ARTIST STATEMENT
In this installation I use handmade paper that has been crumpled many times, and then mended to consider two things: the natural of paper as a textile that can be mended, and the natural landscape, which is constantly being altered by many forces. The panels are evidence of the performance of making pigments, pouring pulp, interacting with it vigorously and then carefully mending it. Sometimes panels become too worn, and have to be replaced.
