ARTIST STATEMENT
Materials are always one of the most important considerations when I make work. This installation uses the structural possibilities of handmade paper combined with fabric and other materials to create a piece that could be thought of as a bridge or building made up of many tiny bridges. In a time when many of us feel isolated, this work feels optimistic to me, like maybe we could build bridges between individuals to make a more coherent society.
