Artist Statement
I find inspiration in found and foraged materials and the consideration of their specific function, their cultural value, and the circumstances of their recovery. I use handcraft to repurpose and combine these items to obscure distinctions between organic and synthetic matter and reflect the discordant relationship between nature and culture.
