Artist Statement

In Trans Lives 2019, the focus was to give a face to names of trans and gender non-conforming people that have been killed in the U.S. in 2019. 27 of the 35 deceased trans lives in 2019 are displayed. Red-colored impressionistic portraits have been embroidered on gauze.
